A GNSS-induced spoofing interference with gradually-varying traction speed

  • Induced spoofing can cause a targeted receiver to output incorrect position and time information without its awareness, making it highly concealed and a critical tool in navigation warfare. Currently, during the drag off stage of a Induced spoofing attack, spoofer typically maintain a constant code rate for the spoofing signal and drag off the target receiver’s tracking loop at a uniform velocity. However, this method keeps the target receiver’s tracking loop in an unstable state for an extended period, increasing the risk of the spoofing attack being detected. To achieve the spoofing target more rapidly and covertly, this paper proposes a novel drag off strategy. This strategy involves uniformly increasing the code rate of the spoofing signal, thereby gradually accelerating the pull on the target receiver’s tracking loop. Experimental results demonstrate that compared to the constant-velocity drag off strategy, the proposed method causes less disruption to the stability of the tracking loop and significantly reduces the time required for successful spoofing.
