Construction and application prospect of resilient PNT system for intelligent transportation
-
Abstract
To enhance the safety and emergency recovery capabilities of a resilient intelligent transportation system, improve the reliability, security, and continuity of positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT), a resilient PNT framework for intelligent transportation has been constructed. Based on the PNT requirements of intelligent transportation users, a multi-source technical architecture for resilient PNT in intelligent transportation has been designed by optimizing the integration of multi-mechanism PNT information sources from three dimensions: redundancy, enhancement, and supplementation, supported by transportation service networks and intelligent sensing networks. The infrastructure of different PNT information sources was analyzed, and the construction of an intelligent transportation PNT infrastructure system was proposed to facilitate the digitization of intelligent transportation infrastructure, the networking of monitoring and sensing, and the intelligentization of operational management. For the resilient integration and enhancement of multi-sensor systems, strategies were proposed for the deep integration of common sensors such as GNSS and micro-clocks, as well as the resilient integration of specialized sensors for vehicles and vessels. When the intelligent transportation system faces interference, damage, or disruption, the resilient fusion of various PNT technologies, infrastructures, and sensors enhances the resilience of the intelligent transportation system.
